Rocking the USA!

We had the pleasure of checking out a wonderful musical artist SOPHIE B. HAWKINS in San Francisco.  Sophie  has such a lovely smooth voice with a easy listening tempo. Her voice is so natural, having twists of pop, rock, jazz, and other genres throughout her songs.  From the sultry torch song of SweetSexy Woman to the raw blues of Feeling' Good and with a mellow song Beautiful Girl from her recent Wilderness album.  .

Born Sophie Ballantyne Hawkins, she goes by Sophie B. Hawkins now. After years of hard work she has become quite the successful artist with four albums and two films. Songs like "Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover" made the top five on Billboard Charts and with a treasure trove of mellow songs with her signature styles of  songs that are laced with interesting background noises (dogs barking, cars honking), cleaver lyrics.

Despite the success Sophie has received she still maintains a wonderful down-to-earth personality for her fan, and  puts on an awesome show. She is a must to check out

Touring the country now with The Corrs and Chris Isaak, in support of her 4th album, WILDERNESS, released April 20 on Trumpet Swan Records/Lightyear/WEA. SOPHIE will perform hits (the Top 5 “Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover” from her Grammy-nominated TONGUES AND TAILS and the #1 R&R AC/Adult Top 40 hit “As I Lay Me Down” from WHALER), alongside songs from her latest release, the critically acclaimed WILDERNESS which includes the Top 30 A/C track “Walking On Thin Ice,” described by Rollingstone.com (4/7) as “a dreamy charm
